(From the personal journal) "My life, my loves, my lists"

We all make plenty of lists. Grocery lists, daily to-do's, errands to run. Clutter to clean. But what about the other lists - the "good" lists? - the lists that inspire your life?

How about a list of all the places you want to visit in the world? Or the childhood friends you want to reconnect with? Or the talents you want to become great at? Or the people you'd like to thank for helping you get where you are today?

The lists can be fascinating, exciting and inspiring because they are ours! They tell the story of our dreams, hopes, passions. But remember: don't just make your lists - go and and live them!

Let's see what we can do about these lists...I will post a new endevor each week.....please jump on the band wagon with me and see what we can do to show "(Our life, Our love, Our lists!!"

Umbrellas in the snow!

God I love having fun taking photos! I love new ideas and having a daughter who is ready and willing for anything!

We had a lot of fun taking these pictures out in the snow fall....had to add in the umbrella and striped boots for extra flavor :o)

These days you can scrapbook online and get just as much out of it! I do love scrapbooking with physical prints and one day I will stock back up on all of that....but for now I will have to just simply enjoy digital scrapbooking!!

Photographers are NOT magicians!

I will have to start this one out with a simple fact: When I am taking pictures, my philosophy is to take 100 (exaggerated) knowing that maybe only 1 will turn out to be the BEST! I am a photographer, not a magician...if a picture does not turn out, whether it be someones eyes were closed or one person in the bunch was not looking at the camera, to the image quality just did not turn out because maybe it was too dark or it came out blurry (I could go on forever with off the wall examples that I have actually been confronted on)...Anyway, I'm sure you catch my drift here.....

I have had a couple of photo shoot sessions that one of the situations above has happened and customers just do not understand there is absolutely nothing I can do to make that picture change....I've been very frustrated with this lack of understanding. So, I was tickle pink when I came across what a gentleman said in regards to this whole scenario:

"You can't stuff an air-hose into a cupcake and blow it up to a wedding cake!"

I truly Laugh my ASS off when I read that! Now, how unprofessional would that be to put on my website?!?! Just Kidding! LOL!

I hope someone else will get a little chuckle out of this like I did!

So in closing, God Bless all of the photographers out there who deal with difficult clients from time to time over one of these unforeseen issues!

Happy Day To You All :o)

Just ONE thing...

I want to incorporate all of my passions into this blog, not just strictly photography..... I love quotes, sayings, philisophical questions....anything of that sort.  There is this one show I watch just about every day and at the beginning and the end it is narrated.  I, more times than none, email myself what is being said....
Real life questions.  Real life quotes.  Words that make you sit back and say.."hey...that's about me right now".

This is today's narration on this favorite show of mine:

If you could make one change in your life, would you?  And if you did..would that one change make your life better?  Or would that one change ultimately break your heart, or the heart of another?  Would you chose an entirely different path... OR would you change just ONE thing? One moment.  One moment that you always just wanted to take back.
